…. Excellent scoring & a great round of golf to take the title and the Prize Money… was…7th July was the date for the monthly stableford held at Secret Valley Golf Club.Winner of Division 1 was Costas Pavlou on 36 points.
Winner of Division 2 was Alexis Pavlou on 33 points just edging out the form player Steve Burge on countback.
Winner of Division 3 was Leslie Redrup with a return to the winner’s enclosure on 36 points.
Nearest the Pin was a guest player Jon Broardhead
Longest Drive on the 18th hole was secured by Anne Majoor.
The two’s competition was spread out between Alexis Pavlou, Bradley Sherwood, Iona Elliott and Anne Majoor.
Also presented on the day to Steve Burge was the ‘Hole in One’ trophy for his achievement at Eléa on the 2nd June.The mid monthly competition returned to Elea on the 21st July, with the day producing some good scores despite the continuing hot weather.
Winner on the day continuing his great run of form was Costas Pavlou on 39 points.
Runner-up was Anne Majoor on countback from New member George Adamos both on 36 points.
The two’s competition was shared between Tony Evans, Costas Pavlou, Kevin Drummy, Paul Majoor, Craig Nixon, John Towey and another new member Graham Newlove. Following the cancellation of the mid-monthly competition in September, due to the weather, it was good to get back to competitive play on the 6th October for the monthly Stableford. Division; one and overall winner was Anne Majoor on 36 points. Division two was won by Lazarus Lazarou on 33 points. Division three went to Bill Pollard on 34 points.
The longest drive was won by the new Captain Costas Xenofontos and Nearest the Pin went to Kevin Drummy. The two’s competition had only one winner with Barrie Hattam scooping the prize money.The Mid-monthly for October was dominated by Andreas Aristotelous on 39 points. Runner-up was Costas Pavlou on 37 points. Five players shared the two’s kitty, Paul Majoor, Kelvyn Bailey, Ronnie Thompson, Alexis Pavlou and Ian Harvey.
